20 february 2010 - Krokstadelva (Norwegia), Nordlysveien. Linia 54 to typowa dowozówka. Jej trasa rozpoczyna się na pętli Hovjordet położonej na szczycie góry. Znajdują się tam dwa wieżowce mieszkalne. Następnie przez krętą i stromą drogę zahacza o kilka pięter tarasów z zabudową jednorodzinną, by wreszcie dotrzeć do centrum miejscowości położonej w dolinie. Następnie podjeżdża pod zespół dużych centrów handlowych, i przekracza rzekę Drammen starym, wąskim, żelaznym mostem dojeżdżając do węzła przesiadkowego przy stacji kolejowej w Mjøndalen. Pomimo bardzo niewielkiego ruchu (średnio 15 osób w godzinach szczytu i około 2-5 poza nim) ostatni autobus "na dół" odjeżdża około godziny 23:45. Zdjęcie wykonała moja siostra Karolina.

In December the swedes started a new express coach route between Stockholm in Sweden and Trondheim in Norway, in addition to the train routes that are there. Through the winter this route is going very well, because it covers all the wintersport places along the route, but time will tell if it is profitable even in the summer.

29 june 2008 - Nærøy, somewhere along road 771. This bus was quite a find. It was only used for the first 10 years, and since then it's just been standing there for more than 20 years. I'm not sure if it's still there or if anything has been done to it.

29 june 2008 - Nærøy, Sagbugta/Sagvika. Operating for the region Nordland, this bus should normally be in Nordland, but that is not the case. It is parked by a camping lot in the far north-eastern corner of the municipality of Nærøy in the region of Nord-Trøndelag. Actually it is not more than around 50 metres from the border to Nordland, yet both I and the bus were in Nord-Trøndelag when the picture was taken. The mountain in the background, named Heilhornet, is in Bindal in Nordland.

30 december 2009 - Trondheim, Tiller, Wright driving school. Being an interim model between the 200-series and the 300-series, Setra S250 Special probably wasn't very numerious, but only one ever made it to Norway, where it still exists, but now it only serves as a bus for a driving school.

1 january 2010 - Trondheim, railway station. I took this picture just 50 minutes into the new year, so this is my newyear greeting to all of you! The bus is quite special. Until January 2009 it was just an ordinary B12B running in Sweden, but then it was rebuilt as a B13R test bus and is now running on the express coach line between Bergen and Trondheim, which is quite a long distance and a lot of up and down, which makes good use of a big engine.

24 december 2009 - Kviteseid. Merry Christmas to all transport fans around Europe and the rest of the world! :-D Even the bus says so. "God Jol" is a local variant of "God Jul", which is the Norwegian saying for "Merry Christmas". This bus passing here at 13:10 was the third last bus today, and from now and until sunday there will not pass a single bus.

4 march 2008 - Trondheim, Dronningens gate. This is now one of only two buses left in these old Trondheim Trafikkselskap colours. The colour white was introduced later in 1988, so they really have survived quite long without any paint.

In Norway, all shops are closed both 1st and 2nd day of Christmas, so to actually see a bus in traffic on 2nd day of Christmas in a low populated place like this is not what you should expect. I don`t collect timetables, but I think the timetable that day was a cut-down sunday timetable.

21 october 2009 - Øvre Eiker, Langebru. After four years the era of Irizar on Haukeliekspressen has come to an end. Last weekend the Irizars were replaced with new Volvo 9700H. This also marks the end of a more than 20 year long era of Scania on this route, since the start in the mid-80s. The first Volvos appeared in 2002, and now it is more or less only Volvo left. This pic was taken on my very last trip with one of these buses.
