5 june 2010 - Flesberg, Svene, Nettbuss parking. I realize that there is a demand for old DABs here, so I've found the only DAB in traffic in the area. (Well, it's 150 km from here, but still very near.) This bus has never moved around much. I found it outside the old Bjørhovdens Bilruter garage, which from 01.01.2008 is a part of Nettbuss Drammen. It runs as a school bus between Svene and Kongsberg still, but I don't know for how long that will continue. It is not the oldest bus in the company, and is probably in very good shape, so it will probably be there a couple more years.

20 june 2008 - Dovre, Dombås, Lesja Bilruter garage. This is one of very few Vest buses built at the old DAB factory in Silkeborg, DK. Scania sold the factory to Vest, and they built a couple of dozen buses there before the factory was closed down for good.

10 january 2010 - Kviteseid, bus terminal. Notice the piece of cardboard in the air intake. That is an old trick on front-engine buses to get the heater temperature up. When the picture was taken it was around -20C outside.

Despite Hønefoss is a bit away from Oslo, it seems at least one of the buses there is used for transfer between the city and the stadium under Eurovision Song Contest 2010. This is also the very first facelifted Volvo 9700 in Norway, so it has some history too.

JVB have a dozen of these Bombardier Snowmobile in traffic during parts of the winter season, to get people to and from those mountain hotels in the area that don't have a open winter road. Most of them have been in traffic in Norway for decades, while this exact one was bought second hand from Canada, where it was used to look after remote power lines.

This one is a Tourismo RH M, which is the same length as the S416H. Currently operating as a demonstator on the TIMEkspressen express routes.

30 april 2010 - Oslo, bus terminal. The Nettbuss corporation came up with a new logo last year, and yet again this year they came up with another one. But this one seems to be final, and will probably be seen on all their buses in the future. It's not exactly the world's best logo, but it's kind of like a smiley. Just add some dots, and the smiley is complete.

18 december 2007 - Nord-Fron, Vinstra, railway station. Sorry for the pillar perfectly infront of the bus, but I was shooting it from a moving train, so I had no chance to compose it better. From 2002 to 2006 Norwegian body manufacturer Vest was partly owned by Brazilian bus manufacturer Busscar. During that time a few brazilian built buses came to Norway. Most of them were this model Micruss built on MB Vario minibus chassis. All the imported buses were labeled Vest-Busscar.

It is built on a MB chassi from Brazil, and for some reason that is a big problem, because when stuff break they have to wait for parts all the way from south America to get it fixed. I was told it sometimes has to be parked for several months just waiting for parts to arrive. What a disaster of a bus ...
