  Why are the model names of the chinese buses so difficult? Do they mean something (for e.g: length, capacity, engine outout, etc.)?

  you're right!
  for example:DD=huanghai ; 6=bus or coach ; 12=12m ;9 is type code; the last part of the number depends on the engines,equipments and so on.
