OMG! Can they build something modern than Mercedes O325? Shame for a new bus. :(
Maybe the new model will be the copy of MB O345?
The problem is that the factory produces what is order the by operators. FAP is also offering a lowfloor bus A-547, but nobody ordered this model?! http://www2.picturepush.com/photo/a/7747010/1024/bus/sashco2012-030.jpg
Also, we can say that FAP is the only real Serbian bus factory. Only engine and automatic transmission system are produced by Mercedes/Voith, most of other spare parts are made in FAP, including chassis, differentials, axles, pneumatics and doors. Seats, cockpit and glasses are also from Serbian factories. Other producers, specially BIK is not a bus producer, not even Neobus, specialized only for vehicle body. Ikarbus, for instance on their new models use Chinese and Turkish spare parts, including windows! This kind of industry I can do in my own yard :( On the end, FAP A-547 is old-fashion, but it is cheaper than LiAZ 5256, and much better. Also it is ecological, but the main problem I see here is that the bus is not lowfloor!
Yes, but now operating in very hard conditions. During ExYugoslavia FAP was Mercedes co-producer for this market. There was cooperation between Sanos, factory for bus bodies, FAMOS (FAbrika MOtora Sarajevo) and FAP factory for chassis, differentials, axles... That is why trolleybuses "Škoda" has 3 marks, FAP, Škoda and Sanos
