24 march 2010 - Greater Manchester, Eccles terminus. And here we have a typical ugly bastard from Manchester - fortunately with a retracted Scharfenberg, which makes it look even prettier. The on-street section between Cornbrook and Eccles was only built in 1999, seven years after the opening of the first two routes. Sadly, these vehicles were built mainly for the two original routes, which were re-built from heavy rail routes, with stops more than a kilometre apart, and full throttle in-between. The Eccles route is twisty and full of gradients - the T68 would be easily beaten by an N-car with two trailers packed with passengers.
