19 february 2010 - Alexandria (EG) – Shari El-Khedeiwi. Parked on a little siding here is an old Belgian tram converted into a tower wagon. It looks like it hasn’t moved in years. Now it makes a useful market stall! It has the cute upstairs balcony that seems to be an Alexandria speciality.

20 february 2010 - Alexandria (EG) – Shari El-Khedeiwi. The next day, the market has vanished and you can see the works tram clearly, including the nice illustration of a Düwag on the side. The metal supports are a little strange – perhaps this was once used as an electrical sub-station? Now it seems it is just a tool store for the more modern motor tower wagon permanently parked just behind.

19 february 2010 - Alexandria, Moharram Bey depot. This interesting technical vehicle (probably a rail grinder) was standing somewhere in the back of the depot hall. Interestingly enough, the car looked much better than all the others (at least on the outside).

20 february 2010 - Al-Iskandariyya (Alexandria) (EG) - depot/zajezdnia Moharam Bey. This is one of two general-purpose works vehicles bought by APTA to replace an amazing collection of old works trams, sadly all gone. I was just too late, as usual.....
